In 2014, Naples Noteworthy released a feature on the Top Churches in Naples, which were then:

This list was arrived at after visiting most of the non-denominational churches in the Naples region. There are something like 180+ churches in Naples, and so United Methodist Churches and many other denominational churches were not included. These are, yes, very fine churches, though admittedly better fits for those who are more conservatively-minded.
There are of course, many good, solid churches in Naples, and this listing was not intended to ruffle any feathers or cause division among the Church. One of our staff attempted an online church directory called One Church but found it too time consuming–this would be an excellent ministry for anyone so inclined or called! We are, indeed, One Church, and it has been a dream of Naples Noteworthy to see the entire Naples community come together for a Revival–all churches participating in one event of worship and uplifting messages of hope, positivity, and union, especially in these trying and divisive times. There is One King and One Message we should all be proclaiming.
In 2025, Naples Noteworthy named Cornerstone United Methodist Church the Top Church in Naples for their unwavering adherence to the teachings of Christ and the inclusion of all people at Cornerstone and at its communion table. This was followed by the presentation of a Lifetime Achievement Award to Rev Roy Terry IV, the pastor of Cornerstone, in 2026, for his service to the church and community. Especially in a community that is known for being politically conservative, embracing the LGBTQ+ community and supporting brown and Black-skinned immigrants shows a kind of bold faith that makes Cornerstone United Methodist Church a “rare find” indeed.
As a sidenote, we also found Naples United Church of Christ an affirming and inclusive church in the Naples community.
